Why and how we do it
Doing our part to positively connect with and transform our local communities is important to us — simply because it’s the right thing to do. We approach our partnerships and investments holistically by providing charitable grants, volunteer support, in-kind donations, and thought partnership.
Amplifying young voices
826 Valencia, based in San Francisco, supports under-resourced students with their creative and expository writing skills and helps teachers inspire their students to write. In addition to annual grant and volunteer support, Dolby employees built out state-of-the art podcasting booths in the Tenderloin Center where students record their stories and poems so their voices can be shared with the world.
Providing holistic care
Wayside Chapel, based in New South Wales, provides programs that ensure the most disadvantaged members of our community have access to essential health, welfare, social, and recreational services. Dolby Australia is proud to partner with the organization to provide grant funding and employee volunteer support throughout the year.
Responding to crisis
The Ukrainian refugee crisis hit close to home for our Poland team. Employees in the region activated quickly to support the immediate needs of their community, some even welcoming refugee families into their homes. Dolby continues its support of the impacted community through volunteerism and grant funding to humanitarian organizations including the Unbreakable Ukraine Foundation which established the first Ukrainian school in Poland.
