Femme House x She is the Music x Dolby Atmos Music

Across the music industry women producers make up only 2% of the workforce. A woeful statistic that Dolby, in collaboration with She is the Music and Femme House, has set out to change with their free immersive music production bootcamp “She is the Producer.”

For the second year running, industry professionals will lead these intensive music training sessions to help put music creation tools in the hands of women artists.

Supported by Dolby Atmos and Ableton Live, She is the Producer 2 is meant to help demystify and educate on music production, as well as level the playing field by empowering women artists and producers.

She is the Producer 2 took place in April and May 2022. The final week included a deep dive into Dolby Atmos Music tools and workflows. Dolby's senior industry relations manager Erin Venables and content creation specialist Maggie Tobin will both be presenting.

She Is The Producer has given over 3,000 creators from over 1,400 cities and in 77 countries globally the tools they needed to begin or further their journeys in music production.

Producing in Atmos with LP Giobbi

Dolby's senior industry relations manager Erin Venables met with co-founder of Femme House LP Giobbi to get her views on the lack of female representation in the music production industry and the beginnings of Femme House. Along the way producer, DJ, and Dolby Atmos practitioner LP shares her origin story, talks about her favorite collabs and how they have pushed her to excel at being a producer, and the inspiration she took from her piano teacher. She also talks about first experiencing Dolby Atmos Music and how it allows her to create more emotional space in her music production.
