Why and how we do it
Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DIB) are foundational to our company and embedded across our programs. To spark positive change, bolster employee resiliency, and strengthen our community, we’re investing in the next generation of talent, widening our candidate pools, cultivating a culture of inclusion and belonging, and meeting our employees’ diverse needs to help them develop and thrive.

Dolby GO-ing the distance
Created in 2022, the Dolby Graduate Onramp (GO) Program brings early career professionals of underrepresented communities to Dolby in full-time engineering and sales positions. The employees are provided resources to support them in launching their careers, including mentoring, educational sessions on interpersonal effectiveness, leadership, financial literacy, and addressing unconscious bias, as well as social and community engagement opportunities.
Committing to reconciliation
Dolby Australia has created a Reconciliation Action Plan to affirm our commitment to building strong and respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, provide a framework to be inclusive in our work, and contribute to national reconciliation in conjunction with Reconciliation Australia. Artist Dennis Golding, a descendant of the Kamilaroi / Gamilaraay people, illustrates the way in which sound is visualized through traditional motifs of place, culture, and object in the specially curated artwork above.
Celebrating diverse storytellers
The BIPOC Film Festival, sponsored by the California State University Media Entertainment Alliance, strives to advance independent filmmakers of color in the media industry and promotes cultural equity and diversity inclusion. In partnership with our Recruiting and Marketing teams, we were proud to partner with CSUMEA to host the festival and help highlight the stories and experiences of underrepresented communities, particularly Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), and unite cultures through cinema.
