Dolby Atmos on Wondery+

With Dolby Atmos, creators now have the ability to place sounds in a multidimensional space, giving artists unparalleled capabilities to tell their stories so their listeners can experience the power of the artist's vision, without compromise. Dolby Atmos adapts automatically to the listener's device and system to give them a cinematic sound experience, no matter where they are listening.  

Wondery+ subscribers should first check their settings in the Wondery app and make sure Dolby Atmos is enabled. When it is enabled, Wondery titles and episodes available in Dolby Atmos will be highlighted throughout the Wondery application with the Dolby Atmos branding badge.

To check if Dolby Atmos is enabled on your Wondery app:

1. Update app to the latest version of the Wondery app 
2. From the home screen, tap the "Settings" gear icon in the top right hand corner 
3. Under "Playback," make sure "Play in Dolby Atmos" is turned on 

No, at launch, Wondery podcasts in Dolby Atmos will only be offered to Wondery+ subscribers through the Wondery application.

Wondery titles and episodes available in Dolby Atmos will be highlighted throughout the Wondery application with the Dolby Atmos branding badge. In addition, Wondery is adding a “Listen in Dolby Atmos" carousel in their user interface. 

Wondery podcasts in Dolby Atmos are enabled for iPhone models that support Dolby Atmos (iPhone XS series or later, except iPhone SE) with iOS version 14.8 or later.

The Wondery application is available on iPads in an iPhone “size” app. If an iPad supports Dolby Atmos (iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd generation or later), iPad Pro 11-inch, or iPad Air (4th generation or later)) and is running iPad OS version 14.8 or later, Wondery+ subscribers will have access to Wondery Dolby Atmos podcast episodes.
